The Alta Partners was established as a unique
organization that focused on real estate and
organizational development services. David Bradford founded the firm with a
focus to help individuals, corporations, and
municipalities involved in real estate matters
either as an investor, developer, or end user to
realize their project’s highest and best use.
By creating a unique service oriented company, it
has allowed Alta to flourish by understanding the
customer’s needs and creating a customized approach
which has successfully enhanced their projects and
created great partnerships.
When the company was launched it was intended to
represent private along with public entities in real
estate and business organizational services, and
this focus has proven itself repeatedly since its
inception.
David Bradford
As the Managing Partner of The Alta Partners, David provides leadership to the direction of the financial structure and strategic operational plan for the organization; he also represents the organization publically and promotes Alta’s services to individuals and organizations who can utilize the services The Alta Partners provides.
David has an extensive background in real estate development, real estate consulting and raising asset based capital (equity and debt). Most recent, he was the Regional Vice-President of Acquisitions for Retail Brokers Inc. (RBI), a multi-billion dollar real estate investment firm based in Scottsdale, Arizona. David led a team that was responsible for all facets of site selection, entitlements, and financial analysis and structure.
David currently acts as a real estate development financial consultant for JP Morgan Chase and their subsidiary Primary Insight Inc, in the Greater Phoenix area. David also is a Project Consultant with Gerson Lehrman Group, the world’s largest independent consulting company.
David is an active member in several industry organizations: Urban Land Institute (ULI), International Council of shopping Centers (ICSC), National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (NAOIP) and Private Equity Association (PRE).
James D. Hayden
Jim provides executive oversight to all facets of The Alta Partners. As the President and CEO, Jim represents the organization publically and promotes the organizations services to individuals and organizations who can utilize the services the Alta Partners provides.
Most recently, Jim was President of Arizona’s largest retail commercial real estate company, Retail Brokers Inc. (RBI) which managed 6.5 million square feet and 7,000 commercial retailers. He managed all brokers, support staff and transactions for this multi-billion dollar company.
Prior to that, he spent 19 years working for America’s largest publically-traded emergency medical services company as Regional Executive Vice President (Rural/Metro Corporation – Southwest Ambulance). Jim was directly responsible for increasing revenue and grew the organization from 150 employees to over 2,000. Additionally, Jim was directly responsible for over 260 real estate locations within this company. He personally negotiated each of these properties and in 2006; he oversaw the development of the Corporation’s regional corporate center.
He has served as the Chairman of the Board for the following organizations: Boys and Girls Clubs of the East Valley, Catholic Healthcare West, Chandler Regional Hospital, and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, foundation. Jim is a recipient of the Business Journals 40 under 40.
Ryan Ahern
As Senior Vice President of The Alta Partners, Mr. Ahern oversees the day-to-day operations of all real estate brokerage activities.
Prior to Alta, Mr. Ahern worked for Retail Brokers Inc as a senior associate in land acquisitions, providing expertise in indentifying land for retail and mixed-use developments. Prior to joining RBI he also worked as the land acquisition/marketing manager for Orbit Investments, LLC.
In addition, Ryan was the Marketing Manager for the Washington Capitals in the National Hockey League and the Washington Wizards in the National Basketball Association.
Mr. Ahern holds an Arizona Real Estate License and a Paralegal Certificate from George Mason University. He earned his Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in psychology and business administration from the University of Maryland. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute.
Joan Krueger
As Vice President of Business Development for The Alta Partners, Joan implements a strategic plan for the procurement of new business. Joan also creates and implements the organizations Marketing and Advertising short and long term plans.
Joan is currently a council member in one of the fastest growing municipalities in the country – Gilbert, Arizona, Joan has managed growth of over 229% in 7 years. Through Joan’s continued leadership, Gilbert is looked at as a model of innovation and planning by other municipalities around the country. Gilbert has the highest average family income and more mastered-degreed citizens per capita than any other municipality in the State.
Joan graduated from Arizona State University and the University of Wisconsin. She sits on the Board of Directors for the East Valley Partnership, Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, Chandler Regional Hospital Foundation, and Gilbert Leadership. With over 20 years of professional service, Joan has proven to be an effective leader with specific skill sets, including sales management, business development, account management and relationship building. As the Director of Business Development for the organization, Joan procures new municipal contracts for the company.
Phyllis Dumond
As the Designated Broker for The Alta Partners Phyllis assures that the organization is in direct compliance with the Arizona Department of Real estate. She is a native of Arizona; Phyllis brings 15 years of commercial real estate experience to the team.
She specializes in real estate marketing, leasing, investments sales, property management, tenant improvements, and construction management.
Phyllis sits on the Board of Directors for AWEE, a statewide woman’s leadership organization where both Sandra Day O’Connor and first lady Laura Bush were recently honored. Phyllis is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor Degree in Performing Arts.
Rex Griswold
As Director of Municipal Services Mr. Griswold acts as business development manager as well as project manager with Alta’s municipal clients. Mr. Griswold has experience in consulting, financial analysis, and real estate services for companies and municipalities experiencing challenges and everyday growth. He also has extensive experience in corporate, private company, and government entity executive leadership.
